The Army Analytic Awards highlight and honor the most impactful contributions from across the Army’s analytic community. These awards recognize individuals and teams whose work has advanced the Army’s ability to plan, decide, and act with rigor and precision.

The program includes four distinct categories:

• Dr. Wilbur B. Payne Award for Excellence in Analysis – presented to the most significant and far-reaching analysis effort across the Department of the Army.
• Operational Analysis Award – recognizing analytic efforts that directly supported operational commanders and shaped planning, training, or mission execution.
• Junior Analyst Awards (Military and Civilian) – honoring early-career professionals who have demonstrated exceptional promise, strengthened the profession’s technical capabilities, and influenced key Army decisions.
• AORS Best Paper Award – presented for the most outstanding paper delivered at the Army Operations Research Symposium (AORS).

Together, these awards underscore the Army’s commitment to analytic excellence, professional growth, and the enduring impact of analysis in strengthening Army readiness and modernization.
