Various Times (See schedule)
Attendees arriving on 22 September are encouraged to conduct early badge pick-up at the Mallette Training Facility and take advantage of four optional tutorials scheduled for that day.
Modeling and Simulation Risk Framework
Presenter: Mr. Brian Hairfield
The Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Risk Framework introduces a transformative approach to accrediting M&S tools employed in Test and Evaluation (T&E) activities. Integrated with a newly developed Power App, this framework:
- Accelerates accreditation timelines
- Reduces reliance on live testing
- Ensures the credibility of M&S tools
By applying risk-informed methodologies and digital tools, AEC enables evaluators and team members to make faster, more reliable accreditation decisions.
LLM Accreditation Reports
Presenters: Ms. Erin Wasson and Mr. Mitchell Mutz
The Operational Test Command (OTC) faces persistent challenges with inconsistent and unclear accreditation reports, which slow Army decision-making and readiness. This initiative delivers:
- A standardized report template
- A writing style guide
- An LLM-powered writing assistant
Together, these tools streamline report creation, improve clarity, and accelerate production. The result: faster, more effective communication of operational risk, advancing Army modernization and enabling timely fielding decisions.
Tool Showdown: Power Platform vs. Home-Grown vs. Data Platforms
Presenters: Mr. Brian Hegus and LTC Melissa Sayers
Selecting the right data analysis tool is a growing challenge for military analysts. This tutorial compares:
- Power BI
- Custom-built (home-grown) solutions
- Enterprise data platforms
Key considerations include development time, sustainment, training requirements, and critical aspects of data management, security, and scalability. Attendees will gain insights to inform decisions about which tools best fit their mission requirements and analytical use cases.
Pacific Analytic Platform (AP)²
Presenter: U.S. Army Pacific (USARPAC) Chief Data Office
The Asia-Pacific Analytic Platform (AP)² is a government-owned capability for data sourcing, sharing, and analytics developed by USARPAC’s Chief Data Office. Designed to meet unclassified, multilingual, and commercially available information requirements across the Indo-Pacific, (AP)² is:
- Accessible on IL-2 and IL-4 networks
- Supporting operational planning, geospatial analysis, and data visualization
- Enabling retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) across more than 4 billion records
(AP)² empowers U.S. and partner-nation personnel with advanced tools to strengthen regional planning and decision support.
