Service and Career
Ronald G. Magee completed 40 years of federal service, including a decade as the Senior Executive Service director of the TRADOC Analysis Center at Fort Leavenworth.
His work on motorized infantry and force design helped shape how the Army organized and fought. He contributed to Army of Excellence studies during the early 1980s and later led TRAC-FLVN's Task Force Modularity analysis, which supported the transition to a brigade-based modular force. He also directed analytical work on fighting and command approaches and the application of technology in complex urban environments.
Magee placed particular value on developing the leaders and analysts at Fort Leavenworth, building a strong professional team alongside the organization's technical capabilities.
His education included a bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder, a master's degree from American University, and study at the Naval War College and Army War College.
