Welcome from the Director of TDAC to AORS 2026

Esteemed Colleagues,

On behalf of the Transformation Decision Analysis Center (TDAC), it is my distinct honor to welcome you to the 64th annual Army Operations Research Symposium (AORS). For over six decades, this premier forum has served as the bedrock for collaboration, rigorous inquiry, and pioneering analytic methodologies across our community.

Our 2026 theme, “Proactive Analysis: Delivering a Decision Advantage,” underscores an operational reality: the speed and precision of decision-making represent the decisive strategic edge. By harnessing advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, and modernized data capabilities, we provide Army Senior Leaders with agility by moving beyond traditional analysis and translating data into operational advantage. Our mission is clear—anticipate leader requirements and deliver actionable insights to enable faster and more robust decision making than any adversary.

This year’s agenda is structured to maximize collaboration and professional exchange across the enterprise. Pre-symposium technical tutorials, Senior Leader panels, organizational showcases, award recognitions, Operations Research and Systems Analysis (ORSA) Town Halls, and seven dedicated working group sessions focused on key analytical domains.

To ensure broad participation across the force, the AORS planning team has implemented a fully integrated hybrid format, enabling robust in-person engagement at Aberdeen Proving Ground alongside comprehensive virtual access for remote attendees.

The Army ORSA community plays an indispensable role in shaping current and future force readiness and doctrine. I challenge each of you to engage actively, challenge assumptions, and leverage our collective expertise to deliver meaningful, lasting impacts for our Warfighters.
