Sustainment analyses examine commodity distribution and casualty evacuation to inform future Army force structures in contested maritime environments.
Abstract
Recent concept-driven studies analyzed the operational effectiveness of future Army formations during large-scale combat operations in contested environments. The U.S. Army has identified a critical need to assess the effectiveness of protection, strike, and sustainment formations operating within distributed areas. To meet this demand, Transformation Decision Analysis Center (TDAC) provided rigorous analytic support to inform future force structure recommendations and modernization priorities.
This presentation discusses recent sustainment analyses and how these assessments informed the evaluation of future force structures. The briefing covers methodological approaches to modeling the intra-theater distribution of commodities and casualty evacuation under varied command and control (C2) node distributions within highly contested maritime and littoral environments.
