Abstract
This project extends the Readiness Decision Impact Model (RDIM) developed by LTC Joe Pedersen and builds upon the Center for Army Analysis (CAA) Force Structure Model to create an integrated readiness optimization framework within the Palantir SIPR Vantage environment. Using heuristic sweep algorithms and stochastic simulation, the study quantifies readiness generation and resource allocation trade-offs across Army components. The emerging Multi-Domain Task Force (MDTF) serves as the analytic test case, enabling exploration of cross-domain force design and pooling of personnel and materiel resources within a unified readiness architecture. The model provides a scalable method to evaluate policy decisions, assess risk under varying manning conditions, and inform senior leaders on how readiness outcomes shift under constrained resources. By combining analytic transparency, operational realism, and digital-platform integration, this work advances the Department of War’s objective to modernize readiness analysis and optimize force employment across the Total Army.
