End-to-End Logistics Supportability Analysis Methodology

TDAC presents an End-to-End Logistics Supportability Analysis methodology designed to keep analytical support current throughout acquisition.

Abstract

The Army has undergone significant acquisition transformation to provide new weapons and capabilities more rapidly and efficiently to better meet the needs of modern warfare. To align with this strategy, the Transformation Decision Analysis Center (TDAC) internally assessed its logistics analysis models and processes to identify a faster, more streamlined approach. These assessment findings led to the development of an End-to-End Logistics Supportability Analysis (ELSA) methodology. The core of ELSA methodology is driven by three primary components: robust internal data collection; targeted sensitivity analysis; and an extended application process to scale capabilities across broader scenarios. Ultimately, TDAC’s new agile methodology provides analytical support that can be easily and efficiently updated as a system matures throughout its acquisition lifecycle.
