Abstract
Medical and Casualty Evacuation Modeling using Logistics Battle Command (LBC) is a critical component of recent future force capability studies. The U.S. Army has identified a critical need to understand how casualties will be moved across and out of the operational environment during contested sustainment conflicts. To address this, the Transformation Decision Analysis Center (TDAC) incorporated advanced medical and casualty evacuation modeling into its broader analytical portfolio.
This presentation will discuss how evacuations are simulated within large-scale operations research models. The briefing will detail LBC modeling methodologies, including the spatial distribution of casualties, evacuation routing to specific roles of care, and the modeled integration of recovered Soldiers back into the fighting force.
