CAA describes improvements to the Army Munitions Model Overhaul, including jammed environments and interceptor effects.
Abstract
Each year, the Army is responsible for submitting 16 variations of Total Munitions Requirements (TMR) to inform Joint Staff, Office of the Secretary of War, and Combatant Commands. The Center for Army Analysis (CAA), as outlined in Army Regulation 5–13, is responsible for aiding in the calculation of the War Reserve Munitions Requirements portion of the TMR. CAA built the Army Munitions Model Overhaul (AMMO) model to create a deterministic mathematical model to calculate the TMR for each of the 16 required cases each year. Over the past year, the study team improved the model to include calculations for operations in jammed environments and the effect of Red interceptor munitions.
